Solar Cup is an event sponsored by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, where high school teams design a boat that runs on solar power. The team boat competes in two races, the different competitions test teams ability to design their solar boats for maximum energy efficiency as well as speed.

I have seen all of it but i not yet so that look like the same system like a sailing boat. That can role and it is combined with solar-panel?
So what i ment is that when there is no wind the solar-panel takes over.
